Background:
Inside the workings of the industrialo-military complex called the
CORP, a mishap occurred; a minor operational in Information Pile
Subsystem 12B (Sec. Level -F3) came into the possession of sensitive
and classified information on the GENOM-V Project. Captain Ben Starr
of Executive Force Control reports that operative Gabriel Prinzip (file
now terminated) has used this information in order to further the
purposes of the Ultra-Regressionist Front (URF). Prinzip's contact in
the URF and his part-time lover was the now fugitive Beatrice Dante, an
ex-researcher at the Bio-Advances Hub at TRANSCOR, now indicted for the
crimes of Non-Compliance (3rd degree), Industrial Sabotage, Information
Theft and Eco-terrorism by CORP's internal Management Unit for Law
Enforcement (MULE). Proceeding from the information leak, several armed
and computational attacks have taken place against the GENOM project
and its operatives. Captain Starr was able, after a process of
elimination, to pinpoint the main suspects behind the strategy and the
logistics of the attacks. Their names are Jack Fontana and Mikael Firoz
and they are both known to be full-fledged members of the URF's "CounterCell". A covert operation under the command of Capt. Starr was
initiated and enough evidence amassed to now proceed to the immediate
capture and interrogation of the suspects.
Synopsis:
A more or less deserted road is the scene for the pursuit and brutal capture of 2 alledged terrorists (driving at the time) by 3 operatives of the 28th Strategic Assault Parameter (SAP) of CORP Industries INc. One of the terrorists (Mikael Firoz) is killed in the arrest. The interrogation of Jack Fontanas by Capt. Ben Starr is a situation where subject and object begin to resemble each other (through the means of beatrice?) and where fanatiscism turns out to be just another strong fancy. But there is a violence which combats non-violence; this is the battle between good and evil in each player. The essence of non-resistance is that evil must not be fought with evil; the sick are rather in need of a physician. Fontanas dies as a result of the cyber-torture inflicted upon him and the end seems nigh, still, he is now beyond pleasure and pain.An epilogue shows either the end of the world or a continuation.
